I always looked forward to going to my grandparents' house as a kid. It was a large, dilapidated house with squeaking flooring. But the family dinners were the part of the trip I most looked forward to. My grandparents would invite guests from all different backgrounds, and we would eat together while chatting and laughing. I discovered the genuine worth of diversity and inclusiveness there.
But how does it apply to me?
Years later, when I was working as a marketer, I understood that the skills I had learned at those family dinners are applied to branding and marketing. Diversity and inclusion in our marketing strategies are more crucial than ever in the fast-paced, constantly-evolving world of today. It is not only morally right to do it, but it also makes good commercial sense.
There are various ways marketers may use diversity and inclusion to draw in and keep customers, from inclusive advertising campaigns to diversified product choices. We can develop marketing strategies that genuinely resonate and connect with our customers by taking the time to comprehend our target group and the many communities they belong to. By doing this, we contribute to the development of a more inclusive and equal society in addition to fostering brand loyalty.
It is our duty as marketers to make sure we are contributing to the cause of inclusion and diversity in all facets of our work. It's not just good for business, it's the right thing to do. #marketing#business#advertising#diversity#inclusion#brand#society#diversityandinclusion
